Dementia care is the speciality of an innovative provider whose homes are small and homely, with a supportive team that values mentoring and training. A Christchurch home now has a full-time permanent Caregiver vacancy, with at least 30 hours a week across a 24/7 roster. Level sets the hourly rate, which is $23.95 at Level 1 and rises to $28.25 from Level 4 and above.
Because the employer is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer, sponsorship for a visa is possible.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after residents' personal care in a holistic, culturally safe way, from showering and dressing to eating, mobility and communication
- Take part in care planning
- Carry out therapy plans for residents with dementia
- Watch how residents are doing and report any change or concern without delay
- Keep resident records accurate and current
- Back up registered nurses, staying within your scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- Real commitment to bettering the lives of elderly people, with kindness and empathy
- A passion for aged care
- Willing to work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Caregiving experience from before is preferred
- Dementia care experience is a strong advantage
- For visa support: a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4+ caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
