Christchurch has a full-time permanent Caregiver vacancy at a dementia care home belonging to an innovative aged and dementia care provider. Hours are a minimum of 30 a week. Hourly rates: $23.95 for Level 1, $24.06 for Level 2, $26.16 for Level 3 and $28.25 for Level 4 and above.
The provider is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer and can consider visa sponsorship support for applicants who also have a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 3 or above qualification directly relevant to caregiving together with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA).

Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with eating, dressing, showering, mobility and communication, in a culturally safe, effective and holistic way
- Contribute to care planning
- Follow therapy plans that assist people living with dementia
- Watch how residents are getting on and report any change or concern promptly
- Keep resident records accurate, appropriate and up to date
- Assist registered nurses, within their scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- Genuine commitment to the lives of elderly people
- Available for any shift across a 24/7 roster
- Passion for aged care
- Caregiving experience is preferred
- Dementia care experience is a strong advantage
- To get visa support: a Registered Nursing degree
- Or, to get visa support, a Level 3 or above caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
