Key Responsibilities
- Oversee upkeep and repair of the farm equipment
- Inspect and test machines to find worn or damaged parts
- Order parts and trace the cause of breakdowns
- Attend field breakdowns and repair on site in busy weeks
- Look after the workshop space
- Keep the spare parts stock in order
- Work with machine operators and managers, and sometimes guide junior staff
- Write up maintenance and operations details
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualified Diesel Mechanic, or someone with strong hands-on experience
- Works independently and keeps a clear head under pressure
- Farm or heavy machinery experience would be an advantage
- Hard-working and reliable at peak times
- Communicates clearly
- Well organised
