Key Responsibilities
- Care for each resident as an individual, delivering nursing care that is well matched to what they need
- Hand out medications and keep track of how residents are doing
- Draw up personalised care plans, then carry them out and revisit them
- Oversee and back up care staff so standards stay high
- Record clinical information accurately
- Keep residents, families and other healthcare professionals well informed
- Work in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical policies
- Join quality improvement work and clinical reviews
- Notice when a resident's condition changes and act fast in emergencies, while keeping your own professional knowledge current through continuing professional development
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration that is current
- At least six months' RN experience in an aged care setting
- Verbal and written communication skills that are strong
- AN-ACC funding knowledge and awareness of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Intermediate computer skills
- Confidence with clinical documentation systems
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- A current National Criminal History Check
- A valid Queensland driver's licence
