Aged care residents in Inverell, New South Wales, would count on you in this full-time Registered Nurse position, offered by a not-for-profit provider guided by its values. Shifts rotate through morning, afternoon and overnight.
Your job is to give safe, competent and current clinical nursing care within your scope of practice, meeting AHPRA requirements and aged care standards. You will team up with the Care Manager, General Manager and care staff so each resident gets person-centred care of a high quality. 482 visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents in depth, drawing on information from families as well as the residents themselves
- Be part of admissions and reassessments, and prepare care plans that you implement and review regularly
- Treat residents directly when clinical care is called for
- Handle medication from ordering and storage through to administration and record-keeping
- Keep watch on wellbeing, respond quickly when a resident's condition changes, and keep notes accurate and timely
- Work alongside families, carers, GPs and care colleagues, mentor care staff, and support a person-centred, respectful, safe home as well as quality and compliance improvements
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration, held currently
- Knowledge of or experience in residential aged care
- Clinical assessment, medication management and documentation skills, all strong
- Grasp of aged care accreditation and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with the government standards that apply to delivering aged care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
- A National Criminal History Check that is current, or the ability to obtain one, and meeting the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening
- Genuine passion for older people's right to live with dignity, choice and respect
