Banks need networks that keep working through change, and this contract role supports one. Several Senior Network Engineers are sought by an IT consultancy that has provided ICT services to government, finance, telecommunications and enterprise customers since 2003. The engagements are long-term and sit within a banking client's infrastructure and technology modernisation program, where engineers design, implement and hand over critical networking constructs for large-scale migration phases.
Visa sponsorship and existing visa takeover opportunities are available. Because these roles are strictly onsite, applicants must be already based in Australia, in Sydney, and hold a valid work visa.
Ugandan network engineers should show firewall and load balancer projects, certifications and the platforms they know on the CV, and shape it with Build AI CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy networking constructs of some complexity on Cisco ASA and ACI
- Translate design specifications at a high level into firewall configurations that can be applied
- Carry out passive and canary deployments
- Check rule sets once deployed
- Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM appliances to distribute traffic
- Put change control and rollback procedures in place and follow them
- Make sure high availability and disaster recovery compliance is met through F5 integration
- Watch performance after deployment and keep documentation ready for handover
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC environments
- A history of deploying enterprise firewall policy and troubleshooting it
- Expertise in configuring and supporting F5 GTM and LTM appliances
- A solid understanding of network capacity planning
- A solid understanding of performance monitoring
- CCNP / CCIE or equivalent certifications are highly regarded
- A valid work visa and a base in Sydney, since the roles are strictly onsite
