A well-known independent automotive glass business that has supplied retail, trade, fleet and insurance customers across Australia for over 30 years needs a driven, hands-on Branch Manager for its Northern Territory branch.
You would own the branch's operations and lead a close-knit team of three, made up of two qualified fitters and one highly experienced leading hand. The job balances managing the business, leading people and serving customers, and senior management backs you continuously. The employer is approved under the Northern Territory Designated Area Migration Agreement (NT DAMA) for eligible candidates, and qualified onshore visa holders needing employer support are welcome.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the branch's workflows from one day to the next
- Compare financial performance with budgets and keep the operation efficient
- Plan staff rosters, coach team members, lead a positive workshop culture and oversee performance
- Control inventory and stock, build local supplier relationships and make sure product is on hand
- Grow retail, fleet, insurance and trade accounts, and give customers high-quality service by phone and in person
- Keep WHS standards strict, the store secure and administrative records accurate
- Pitch in on basic automotive glass fitting or repairs during busy periods (on-the-job training provided)
- Keep the branch team motivated
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven track record as a Branch Manager, Workshop Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager or Retail Manager
- Strong skills in communication, team management, business awareness and computers
- A current valid driver's licence (mandatory)
- For sponsored candidates: nomination under Retail Manager (General), ANZSCO 142111
- For sponsored candidates: relevant formal qualifications and suitable management experience
- For sponsored candidates: English proficiency and NT DAMA eligibility
