A transport and tourism company run by one family in Western Australia is hiring Heavy Vehicle Mechanics for its Perth workshop. The mechanics' job is to keep a mixed fleet of coaches and buses reliable, well presented and safe, by servicing, modifying, diagnosing and repairing, and sometimes working at other WA locations.
Previous work on buses or coaches is highly valued but not a must. Casual and full-time options exist, and you will talk through hours and shift patterns at interview. Applicants who are suitably qualified, already in Australia and holding current working rights can be offered employer sponsorship. Applications close on 21 November 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the company's vehicles
- Inspect them against company standards
- Find faults in, service and repair a range of heavy vehicles
- Fit and repair mechanical components
- Keep fleet and repair records in line with manufacturer specifications and the WA omnibus vehicle maintenance program
- Help maintain monitoring systems on the vehicles, such as wifi, GPS tracking, communications, CCTV and sensors
- Update service records online, do general workshop maintenance and test drive vehicles when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current Australian working rights
- A trade qualification in heavy commercial vehicle mechanical work, or similar
- Experience with heavy diesel vehicles, where buses and coaches are preferred rather than essential
- Strong diagnostic ability
- An understanding of WA transport compliance requirements
- A current driver's licence (HR class highly regarded)
- A working at heights certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Relevant high risk work licences, or willingness to obtain them
