A family general practice in Dubbo, New South Wales, has a full-time opening for a Practice Nurse and is asking for an experienced Registered Nurse. The week runs Monday to Friday. The job covers primary care for individuals and families, and part of the work is visiting patients at home to carry out health assessments.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor with services given to patients
- Manage treatment-room stock, sterilise instruments and maintain equipment
- Help patients understand their health
- Apply infection control and WHS practices
- Help the practice meet accreditation standards
- Lead other staff on clinical matters
- Manage triage
- Provide wound care and dressings
- Give childhood immunisations, adult immunisations and travel vaccinations
- Do corporate health checks, ECG, audiometry and spirometry
- Manage chronic disease
- Complete age-appropriate health assessments and Indigenous health assessments
- Manage the cold chain and educate staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration, plus the required CPD points
- Basic Life Support / CPR certificate, current, or an equivalent
- Working With Children Check
- Multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Immuniser, looked upon favourably
