A roaster of specialty coffee in Far North Queensland is recruiting several Baristas for Cairns and asks for energetic, highly motivated coffee professionals.
Responsibility for the coffee programme sits with you: how drinks are prepared and how quickly, mentoring the baristas around you, and ideas for new products. You would work full-time between 5am and 2pm, Monday to Friday, and be available on weekends.
The employer states that these positions are eligible for employee sponsorship under the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement (FNQ DAMA).

Key Responsibilities
- Grow the skills of baristas and manage them
- Provide a top-tier, genuine and efficient coffee experience
- Lead QC cupping with the roasters
- Assist with choosing green beans to buy and roast in production when needed
- Follow WH&S standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Specialty coffee background, in-depth knowledge and experience; Q-grader, cupping, barista competition, barista training and/or roasting experience is highly advantageous
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, and a love of people and customer service
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Growth mindset
- Willingness to start at 5am
