A building contractor with major, long-term commercial contracts needs carpenters and ceiling fixers. Its range is ceilings, walls and external cladding, indoors and out, and the façade and building projects are spread around the region. The roles are permanent and ongoing.
Day to day, you would fix aluminium and CFC cladding to commercial buildings, prepare wall and ceiling surfaces, and carry out framing, set-out and fixing. The employer says supervisor roles and sponsorship visas are among the opportunities for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of façade cladding jobs in aluminium and CFC across commercial sites
- Get walls and ceilings, indoors and out, ready to be rendered or plastered; mix plaster, cement and render, then trowel it on with the usual trade tools
- Check that corners, angles, walls and ceilings are plumb, then straighten them; frame up, set out and fix
- Handle all carpentry tasks, whether construction, installation or repairs
- Stick to quality and safety procedures and flag any hazards; read plans and measure up on site
Requirements & Eligibility
- Ideally, a background of 3+ years in construction, either with Carpenter / Ceiling Fixer qualifications or as a trade assistant; all candidates considered
- Capable of bringing surfaces up to trade standard: preparing, levelling, straightening and finishing
- Good grasp of construction standards and of the cladding scope of work; happy to work in a team or alone
- A valid Class C driver's licence, plus own transport for getting tools to site
- Ability to clear any pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol, and background check requirements if required
- Construction white card (mandatory); EWP and working at heights tickets (desired)
