Auckland carpet layers with high standards will want to see this one. The employer, a family-owned flooring business inside a national network, is an Accredited Employer and can sponsor workers from overseas. It is looking for someone to stay long term.
Installs are residential and commercial, for the business and its sister store, and every job runs from preparing the floor to handing over a finished result. Hours are Monday to Friday, with a couple of Saturdays a month. An apprentice works alongside, so happily passing on what you know is part of the job.

Key Responsibilities
- Install carpet in houses and commercial premises
- Take each install from floor preparation to a quality result
- Do floor prep and uplift to industry and manufacturer standards
- Run your own jobs
- Be polite and professional with customers in their homes
- Mentor and support an apprentice on the tools
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years' carpet laying experience, including strong experience with textured and wool carpets
- Confidence with floor prep, uplift and installing to industry and manufacturer standards
- Pride in your work and a high standard of finish
- Reliability, organisation and the ability to run your own jobs
- A polite, professional manner with customers in their homes
- Willingness to mentor and support an apprentice
- Availability for a couple of Saturdays a month
- Full NZ driver licence
