A permanent full-time Duty Manager is wanted to cover a hotel and its restaurant in a seaside town close to Christchurch. The hotel has a beer garden, the position answers to the Venue Manager and GM, and the Duty Manager keeps operations running and front-of-house teams on form through a quick-paced role with plenty of variety.
For the right candidate, sponsorship may be part of the offer.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep a daily eye on operations at both sites
- Follow the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
- Meet every licensing requirement
- Guide front-of-house teams

- Look after staff, bookings and a warm, safe, professional environment
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current NZ Duty Manager Certificate (LCQ + Manager's Certificate) or readiness to get one
- Hospitality management or supervisory track record
- Communication, leadership and problem-solving strengths
- Sound understanding of host responsibility
- Sound understanding of alcohol compliance
- Proactive, positive, and steady under pressure
