A tourist park that is growing in Port Hedland, Western Australia needs an experienced cook or chef, and it values reliability, hard work and a love of preparing good food. The job is full time, with 5 or 6 days per week depending on what is agreed.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals at a high standard
- Keep food quality, portion sizes and presentation steady
- Observe food safety, hygiene and cleaning rules
- Support stock control, ordering and rotation of stock
- Look after a clean, safe, tidy kitchen
- Reduce food waste
- Help the kitchen to operate efficiently
- Pull your weight in a busy team
- Step in with food preparation and service when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Earlier work as a cook or chef
- Understands how kitchens operate and how to keep food safe
- Can produce high-quality meals time after time
- Dependable and steady when it gets busy
- Communicates well and works in a team
- Positive, with a strong work ethic
- Prepared to live and work locally
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred; relevant experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications; Food Safety Certificate preferred
- Pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
