Key Responsibilities
- Trim, cut and portion beef, lamb, chicken and goat, following halal standards
- Make sure each meat product is handled, kept and displayed in the right way
- Advise customers about what to choose, how to order specially and how to cook
- Keep the work area clean and safe, with good order, as food safety standards ask
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous experience as a butcher; halal experience is highly regarded
- Strong knife skills and portioning, with attention to detail
- An understanding of what halal requirements mean in meat preparation
- A customer-focused approach with good communication, plus a reliable, hardworking team player
