Do you want to leave the city and step up in your career? A hotel venue in regional northern Victoria has an opening for a qualified chef who wants more experience and a place in a strong team.
The chef reports directly to the Venue Manager and leads each culinary team. The venue is after progressive ideas about food across a range of cuisines, and experience in volume kitchens and functions would be an advantage. Sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities
- Menus and food costings.
- Food standards and production.
- Executive management's standards.
- Labour management and costing.
- Kitchen recruitment support, induction and training.
- Agreed kitchen KPIs.
- Good communication with management and staff.
- Hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years in a similar high-volume venue.
- Cert III or Cert IV in Cookery.
- A high degree of professionalism.
- Strong kitchen operations knowledge, particularly food quality and presentation.
- Sound at managing kitchen costs.
- Outstanding written and spoken communication.
- Strong leadership and multi-faceted kitchen management.
- Hands-on coaching and motivating of the team, with an energetic, enthusiastic approach.
- Proven problem-solving, and the ability to build a team environment across the whole venue.
