Guests come for inventive cooking and strong service, and the restaurant is committed to sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. Key Responsibilities
- Make a wide choice of inventive, attractively presented dishes
- Keep food quality, presentation and service at the highest level
- Suggest and develop new menu items with the Head Chef
- Rework recipes already on the menu
- Obey food safety and hygiene regulations without exception
- Run your own station
- Help the kitchen to run without hitches
- Guide and mentor junior kitchen staff, and take part in team meetings and training
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years as a Chef in a restaurant that is fast-paced and of high quality
- Formal culinary training, or a hospitality qualification that is relevant
- Excellent cooking, close attention to detail and presentation, and thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong teamwork and communication
- A passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, plus the ability to adapt and do well in a busy, high-pressure kitchen
