Chefs and cooks with experience are invited to apply to a country hotel in regional Gippsland, Victoria, where the kitchen team needs a full-time addition. The chef prepares creative meals of high quality at pace, shares in developing the menu with the Head Chef, and plays a central part in giving guests a good dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Turn out creative meals of high quality at pace, finishing every prep and cooking task quickly and well
- Share in developing new menu items, and refine existing dishes, with the Head Chef
- Maintain a kitchen that is clean, ordered and hygienic
- Provide first-class customer service and respond to guest requests promptly
- Help with stock-taking and ordering of kitchen supplies, and comply with food safety and workplace health and safety rules
Requirements & Eligibility
- Chef/Cook experience of at least 2 years in a similar hospitality setting
- Trained or qualified in cookery, for example with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Sound command of preparation methods and cooking techniques
- Excellent knowledge of food safety practices
- Strong time management and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
- Able to work as part of a team and add to a positive work culture
- Passionate about creating high-quality meals and improving the dining experience
