One large community club on the Sunshine Coast has food and beverage outlets, an events and function centre and a sports bar, and it wants a casual chef or chefs to cover them. Hours can reach 35-40 a week for the right candidate.
After a trial period as a casual that suits both sides, the employer will consider sponsorship for the right applicant. Candidates need to hold the right to work in Australia at the time they apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef so that service stays efficient
- Make sure food safety rules, including the Food Safety Act, are followed and the food safety system is used
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least three years' background in a commercial kitchen
- Desirable: experience in bistro cuisine
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Honest and reliable, with a positive approach to service excellence
- A team player who is neat, tidy and well presented every day
- Multitasks and works well under pressure; time management is essential
- Australian work authorisation required when applying
