A Vietnamese restaurant group that is growing in regional New South Wales can start 3 experienced Cooks/Chefs immediately. Its teams work in fast-paced commercial kitchens, and it is looking for motivated, reliable cooks who work hard. New starters may complete initial training in Port Macquarie before heading to their allocated restaurant.
Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) holders are welcome, and the employer is an approved business sponsor. For suitable, eligible long-term Cook/Chef candidates, Skills in Demand Visa (Subclass 482) support may be considered, subject to business needs, individual eligibility, work performance and immigration requirements, and it is not automatic. Only applicants already located in Australia can apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Make Vietnamese and Asian-style food that meets restaurant expectations
- Keep every plate consistent in quality, presentation and portion size
- Organise food preparation
- Rotate stock and keep the work area clean
- Observe food safety and hygiene procedures
- Keep up the pace at busy lunch and dinner services
- Team up with kitchen and front of house colleagues to keep service smooth
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial Cookery qualifications, or relevant experience in professional kitchens
- Experience of Asian cuisine kitchens is highly preferred; Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese and other Asian restaurants are the best fit
- An advantage: making noodle soups, stir-fries, rice dishes and other Asian meals
- Independence at work
- Coping with busy service periods
- Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to high standards
- Availability that is flexible, weekends included
- Currently located in Australia (a must)
