A vehicle rental branch in New Zealand is hiring a Customer Service / Groomer to advise business, commercial and recreational travellers on transport options, serving local short-term customers and larger long-term contracts alike.
Customer queries, advice, quotes and contracts need excellent communication skills and a confident phone manner, and vehicles must be groomed, maintained and ready. Expect to pitch in on all areas of branch operations. Hours are rostered, 40 per week, permanent and full time, in a branch that opens at 8.00am and closes at 5.00pm on weekdays and at 1.00pm on Saturdays. If the employer cannot appoint a suitable, available NZ worker, it is an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ and can sponsor someone who requires a work visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls, giving sales advice and quotes
- Prepare contracts and finish transactions
- Organise vehicle deliveries and pick-ups
- Take care of office administration and customer accounts
- Keep the rental fleet groomed to the highest standard and run the required compliance checks
- Flag repair and maintenance problems early, and manage maintenance and damages as required
- Support the team in all areas of branch operations
Requirements & Eligibility
- A full Class 1 Driver Licence, or an overseas equivalent
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Earlier customer-facing service work, ideally in vehicle rental though that is not essential
- Grooming experience is preferred but not essential
- Excellent customer service, communication and phone manner, with great attention to detail and time management
