Indian Curry / Tandoori Chef
Visa sponsorship
Hospitality · Dunedin, New Zealand · Full-Time · $25 - $35/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
Cooking curries and tandoori dishes for lunch and dinner at a high level is the heart of this permanent full-time job, which pays at least 30 hours a week at an Indian restaurant serving Dunedin. The chef takes the lead in busy services, working solo or with the team, trains kitchen staff and apprentices, and keeps quality, presentation and hygiene within New Zealand food safety standards.
Candidates need New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa, or must be eligible for sponsorship under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme. The job rewards a chef who enjoys teaching others as much as cooking. Calm leadership at the busiest moments of service matters a great deal.
