Perth's northern suburbs are home to this Japanese izakaya-style restaurant and bar, which has just moved to a new site in a large shopping centre. It is hiring a full-time Chef and Cook with a Japanese cooking and sushi background to join a growing team.
Service is split into two blocks, 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and the position is salary-based. In this high-volume kitchen serving Japanese and fusion dishes, the chef helps with menu development and quality control. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates, in a supportive, professional workplace.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook sushi, Japanese dishes and fusion dishes at lunch and dinner
- Assist in developing the menu

- Work closely with colleagues and communicate clearly while service is running
Requirements & Eligibility
- Japanese restaurant experience of at least 1 year
- Experience as a sushi chef, an all-rounder chef or a cook
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and fusion cuisine
- Able to assist with menu development
- Able to assist with quality control
- A background in high-end, high-volume restaurants
- A strong sense of responsibility, plus excellent teamwork and communication skills
