Heading the pass at a busy Gold Coast café could be your next step. The kitchen works at high volume and needs an experienced, motivated Sous Chef to lead alongside the Head Chef and another Sous Chef, running daily operations, leading busy services and keeping food and kitchen standards high.
Experienced Sous Chefs and strong senior chefs ready to step up are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate who has experience in a similar role and passes a 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead during busy services
- Back up the team when the pressure is on
- Run the kitchen day to day with the Head Chef and Sous Chef
- Plan prep and allocate sections
- Organise daily kitchen operations
- Keep dishes consistent, well presented and good
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards
- Train and support kitchen staff
- Take ownership and lead when needed, helping to shape a positive, organised and professional culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Solid experience in a busy, high-volume café or similar kitchen, and previous Sous Chef, senior chef or supervisory experience
- Confidence leading a team and running a busy service
- Organisation and communication skills that are strong
- Calm under pressure, reliable and ready to take ownership
- Hands-on, glad to work beside the team, and strong on food quality and consistency
- Available 5 days per week, including Saturday and Sunday
