Would you enjoy serving in a busy Mexican-style restaurant right in central Christchurch? Four experienced waitstaff are wanted. The restaurant prizes outstanding customer service, serves food and drinks the way its selling system lays out, and gives staff room to be themselves and have fun while they read what guests want.
This is a full-time job of 30 hours or more weekly, including nights, weekends and the busy summer months. Staff receive regular in-house training on food, beverages and service. As an accredited employer linked to AEWV sponsorship, the restaurant can help with the immigration process if required.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests
- Explain the menu and what is on offer
- Take orders and serve food and drinks at the table
- Clear and reset tables and keep the restaurant clean
- Enter orders through the POS and process electronic and cash payments
- Apply New Zealand liquor laws and work with management to enforce licensing requirements
- Promote products and services and complete the in-house training modules that come round regularly
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in a similar role of at least six months, or else a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification
- Sound knowledge of New Zealand liquor laws
- Able to work nights
- Able to work weekends and the busy summer months
- Drive to work hard in a fast-paced role and learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards
